The Grand Budapest Hotel movie by Wes Anderson takes place in an imaginary grand hotel from the 1930s. The sublime grand hotel style with bellboys, concierges and maître d’s in swaying tailcoats and chambermaids in bonnets reinterpreted without the gold buttons but rather with contemporary, functional materials and cuts. We nevertheless retained the charm and sophistication of the colour combinations and striking stylistic details.
